The first Annual Operation Turkey Drop will take place Veterans Day Thursday November 11th at VFW Post 7293 located at 5209 Springmill Rd in Whitehall PA.
The VALOR Clinic Foundation helps veterans and their families deal with life challenges by meeting them where they are and being flexible and adaptive in their response to their unique needs. Since 2012 VALOR has helped close to 9000 homeless or at risk of homelessness veterans.
This year VALOR has identified approximately 300 veteran families in northeast Pennsylvania as well as the surrounding counties in New Jersey that need your help this holiday season.
To meet that need The Warrior Brotherhood Veterans Motorcycle Club has teamed with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5209 to host Operation Turkey Drop. Their mission is to collect 300 turkeys for the families identified by VALOR.
On Veterans day, frozen turkeys of 12lbs or more can be dropped off at VFW Post 7293 on Springmill Rd in Whitehall between 11:00 AM 4 PM. The turkeys will be distributed by The Valor Clinic Foundation over the holidays. Monetary donations as well as gift cards to ShopRite and Weis will also be accepted at the event.
Checks should be made payable to the VALOR Clinic Foundation, with holiday meals noted in the memo.
They can also be mailed to:
